Born on August 28, 1990, he was the son of Donald and Susan (Magestro) Trottier, Jr. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and was a 2009 graduate of St. Catherine’s High School. In 2016, Jake received his Bachelor of Science Degree from U.W-Parkside.
Jake was a dedicated employee of the Trottier Insurance Agency as a Customer Service Assistant in their Commercial Lines Division. On any given day, his infectious smile and dry humor would light up the office. He was also the only employee there with a beard that rivaled Paul Bunyan’s.
As a young boy, Jake joined the cub scouts and was a member of troop #105. After years of hard work, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Then, after receiving the highest honor there, he joined Tae Kwon Do and earned his Black Belt Degree.
When Jake wasn’t busy building tents, trimming his beard or kicking 2 X 4s, he was cheering on his beloved Packers and Brewers – rain or shine. And if a game wasn’t on that day, he’d be playing one his favorite video and card games.
He made many memories with his family on the island of St. Croix in the U.S.V.I, where he would ride the waves at Davis Bay, play 50 All Scatter, and beat every member of his family in a game of cribbage. In fact, because of his winning streak there, he was officially crowned the Cribbage King of the Caribbean.
Another favorite spot of Jake’s was his family’s cottage on Turtle Lake in Delevan Wisconsin, where he made many loving memories with the members of “The Village.”
Jake’s family will miss his strong heart, his strong will, and his loving nature.
Jake is survived by his parents, Don and Sue Trottier; his brother, Jimmy Trottier and his maternal grandmother, Nancy (Tom Batzler) DeBrozzo. He is further survived by his caring aunts and uncles, Michelle (Larry Stenholt) Trottier, John (Jennifer) Trottier, Tim (Nancy) Trottier, Tom (Alana) Magestro and Carrie Stenholt; and his loving cousins, Chad Halvorsen, Stephen Stenholt, Marisa Trottier, Michael Trottier, Cole Halvorsen, Chris Trottier, Sarah Trottier, Grace Trottier, Nick Magestro, Alex Magestro, Heather Heindl, and Abby Schmolinske.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Betty Trottier.
Service Date January 30, 2017
Funeral services honoring Jake’s life will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave, Racine. Private interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery.
