Amber Riche wrote: To some you were just Jack, to others Dad, Pops, and loving husband. To me you were Grandpa. Not a day goes by where I don't think about you and your warm smile and your infectious laugh. I can still hear it. Especially when you were telling a joke. You were the first one to teach me how to gamble for quarters at cribbage. You were there for my high school and college graduations cheering me on. You shared a birthday with my husband and welcomed him to the family with open arms. The world has lost a little sparkle, but I know you're up there looking out for us all. I love you. Love always, Amber

Jack "Pops" Steele I will miss you. You always made feel comfortable and treated me as if I was one of your sons. You will be my favorite "meat cutter", for you always said "butchers" work in slaughter houses. I will miss our cribbage games; though I could never figure out how you usually won the games and didn't count all your hand points. I will miss your cold beer. Yours always tasted better than mine. Your stories were great and made us all laugh. I only hope I can be the man that you were, thank you for all your insight, understanding and love. I know now you are raising an brandy old fashion with the sun on your face and a gentle breeze at your back. Love you Pops Your son in law Gary
