Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintIda J. Paskiewicz, age 85, of Kenosha, died on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
Born on February 25, 1930, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Amelia (D’Ambrosio) Faraca. She attended Jefferson Elementary, Washington Junior High and was a 1948 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. Ida also attended St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac, graduating in 1951. She continued her education, earning a BS in 1979 from the College of Saint Francis in Joliet, IL.
On June 28, 1952, she was united in marriage to Leonard “Speed” Paskiewicz at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Sadly, he preceded her in death in 1992.
Ida was employed with Kenosha Hospital as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years, retiring in 2005.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, their Holy Rosary Ladies Sodality and the Catholic Woman’s Club.
Ida will be deeply missed by her children, Linda (Gary) Shuler, James (Susan) Paskiewicz, Gary (Susan) Paskiewicz, Laurie (Ben) Fapso, Carole (Dr. Mark) DeCheck and Tina (Jeffrey) Moore. She is further survived by her sister, Emma Grno; sister-in-law, Jeanne Faraca; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Sue Paskiewicz in 2008; two brothers, Arthur (Kathleen) Faraca and Emil Faraca and her sisters, Mary (Attilio) Cesario and Rose (Walter) Ryszewski.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Joe Garretto and the staff of both, United Hospital Systems and Hospice Alliance, for the loving and compassionate care that was given to Ida.
Service Date January 16, 2016
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224- 45th Street. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery.
