Still thinking of you 4 years later. A good friend you were to me and always will be. Miss you

I first met Hugh (Hughie) early in our employment at AMC. What a character he truly was. I have many great memories of working with him throughout our employment. He was always Happy. i remember our time working in 813 2nd shift. (Jeep axles)I'd always run into him on the way into the plant. and for the 1.5 years we worked in that dept, he always came in carrying a brown paper grocery bag full of food. Man could that guy eat. always had a joke to tell, we'd have a beer at lunch and sometimes after. There are way to many stories to tell here. I was greatly saddened when I learned of his passing. I wish I would have known of his battle , I surely would have aided in support. He' s one union brother I will always remember. Rest in peace Hughie.

Hugh was a great person and classmate going through school. Always had a great smile and attitude. My thoughts are with his family.

Hugh was my son, Nick's, powerlifting coach when he was a teenager and we couldn't have asked for a better one. He instilled in Nick a wonderful work ethic and drive that I think is with him still. Thank you Hugh and rest in peace.

The first time I heard Hugh's name, I wasn't sure I'd like him. My son, Nick Jr. just started at the old Body Shop gym at a very early age. He would come home and tell me how Hugh and the other guys would really bust on him while he was working out. Not being sure what he meant, I found out later, Hugh was encouraging him by getting him to see he could accomplish more than he though. As a father, that's a lesson we all try to instill in our kids. As time went by, Nick because a better lifter, and in many ways a better person for knowing someone like Hugh. He was a man not too big to share his knowledge with those who truly wanted to learn. He wouldn't waste his time if you were only half interested, but for those that really wanted to know something, Hugh would be right there to help. He was a terrific man, friend, and person to all who got to know him. He will be sadly missed by our family, and I'm sure all the friends he made along the way. Rest in Peace Hugh.
