Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintHerbert D. Raduechel, age 88 of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Aurora Medical Center, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Waukegan, IL on May 6, 1930, he was the son of the late Herbert and Mary (King) Raduechel. As a child, he moved to Kenosha with his family.
Herbert served our country in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Airman First Class on October 13, 1952.
On October 22, 1956 at First Congregational Church in Kenosha, he was united in marriage to Susan Hampel.
For 34 years, Herbert was employed as a postal worker with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1990.
He was a former member of First Congregational Church and the American Postal Workers Local Union #840 – Kenosha. Herbert had a passion for woodworking, fishing, bike riding, big band music, nature and animals. He was an avid reader and history buff who enjoyed exploring history, biography, military and WWII.
Throughout his life Herbert valued the love of his family and he cherished his yearly travels to Door County with them.
He will always be remembered by his loving wife of 61 years, Susan Raduechel; his two children, Jeff (Cheryl) Raduechel of Kenosha and Tamara (T.J.) Little of Shorewood; his five grandchildren, Stacy (Justin) Ray, Jenny and Kelly Raduechel and Brandon and Justin Little; his adorable great grandson, Ethan Jeffery Ray; his brother, Ronald Raduechel; his sisters, Maryanne Boyd and Laura Raduechel; and his faithful canine companion, Sophie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Raduechel.
The family would like to thank Dr. Malik Bandealy and his staff, Dr. Scott Feldy and his nurse, Carol and the Diagnostic Treatment Center Unit at Aurora Medical Center for the continuous caring support given to Herbert.
Service Date June 28, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Herbert’s life will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Entombment with full military honors will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
