She was born on September 22, 1912 in Breckenridge, MN and was one of seven children born to the late Harry and Maude (Plaisted) Clemons. Hazel moved to Kenosha at the age of 15.
In 1928, she was united in marriage to Raymond T. Stoebe. He preceded her in death. In 1950, she was united in marriage to Anthony Sarich. Sadly, he preceded her in death in 1964.
Hazel was employed with AMC for 20 years, retiring in 1973. She previously was employed with A&P and National Tea food stores for 12 years.
For over 65 years, Hazel was a member of First Christian Church. She dedicated much of her life to the Kenosha Women’s Club, Kenosha Soup Kitchen, Kenosha Women of the Moose Chapter #155 and Encore Club.
Hazel enjoyed dancing, playing cards, watching television and going on casino trips. She was a Chicago Clubs and Packer fan her whole life. Up until the day she died, Hazel was active at Brookside Care Center playing bingo and cribbage.
She is survived by her son, Harry E. (Nancy) Stoebe; her grandchildren, Larry (Faith) Angelici, Sally (Ken) Hohenstein, Terry (Fred) Lawler, Nancy (Randy) Barnes, Susan Flynn, Robert Stoebe, Michael Stoebe, Juli (Tim) Georno, Jackie (Ron) Benhoff and John (Gina) Stoebe; eighteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stoebe; daughter, Joyce Angelici; her brothers, Eddie, Harry and Robert; her sisters, Ellen, Jessie and Phyllis; two great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Larry Angelici and daughter in law, Darlene Stoebe.
Hazel’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Brookside Care Center for the kind and loving care shown to Hazel and her family.
Service Date September 12, 2017
Funeral services honoring Hazel’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, 13022 Wilmot Road. Private entombment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
