Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintHarvey Dam peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in Pleasant Prairie, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 9, 1947 to Wilfred and Frances (Leonetti) Dam in Kenosha, WI.
Harvey, a caring and generous man known for his craftsmanship in woodworking and love for music, will be remembered with great reverence and joy. His unwavering devotion to his wife, Goodie, and six daughters, along with his passion for entertaining and hosting loved ones, will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Harvey showcased his talents in woodworking, crafting musical instruments from simple blocks of wood, and cultivating a flourishing garden that displayed his incredible green thumb.
A man of warmth and kindness, Harvey’s spirit of generosity knew no bounds, with a penchant for caring for others and always putting their needs above his own. His love for music, cooking, gardening, and his Annual Corn Roast celebration brought him immense joy and allowed him to share his passions with those closest to him.
Harvey leaves behind a legacy of love and familial bonds that will endure for generations to come. His memories with his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and extended family will forever be cherished. His favorite companions, the coon hounds, and his love for simple pleasures like fresh tomatoes and hot peppers, will forever symbolize the essence of who he was.
As he would have wished, let us gather, raise a glass, share stories, and honor the man who brought so much joy and love into our lives. As Harvey would lovingly say to all in attendance, “Everyone have a beer and a good time.”
Harvey is survived by his loving wife, Gudrun; his daughters, Lisa Hall, Erika (Barry) Keating, Shelly (Todd) Bloom, Heidi (Dennis) Meier, Toni Dam and Cristina Dam; his grandchildren, Taj-Marcel Finley, Amanda Keating, Kevin Keating, Zach Bloom, Gabbie Bloom, TJ Bloom, Ryleigh Mosley, Nicole Meier, and Claire Meier; his brother, Brian (Denise) Dam; brother-in-law, Zarko (Debbie) Radovanovic; sister-in-law, Tootsie (Darryl) Kozak.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill; brother-in-law, Misha.

SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home
A Celebration of Life, “Harvey’s Last Corn Roast,” will be held at his daughter, Erika’s home on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Memorial services honoring Harvey’s life will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
Private inurnment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
