Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintGordon “Gordy” Bedrosian, age 77 of Somers, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Kenosha on July 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Asie and Mattie Lou (Gordon) Bedrosian. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. He also attended U.W.-Parkside.
From 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1960, he served our country in the US Air Force.
For over ten years, Gordy was employed as a restaurant manager at Roma Lodge in Racine, retiring in 2014. Because of his many contributions to Roma Lodge he was made an honorary member. Previously, he was employed as a real estate agent and was an active member of the National Realtors Association. Gordy was also a marina owner in Conroe, TX.
Survivors include his sister, Lucy Gregory; his nieces, Joanne Lee, Barb Gadwood, Penny Bizub, Linda Rosen, Cynthia Hoover, Louise Schepker, and Nancy Knotts; his nephews, Larry Hamsing, Robert Gregory, Charles Gann Jr., and Clayton Gann; and his brother-in-law, Charles Gann, Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Thomey, Geraldine Gann and Esther Hamsing; and a brother, Oscar Bedrosian.
Gordy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Luke’s Hospital Neurological ICU Department.
Service Date April 2, 2015
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.
