Born on October 10, 1943 to the late Frank and Edna (Gustafson) Michal. She attended local schools in Fall Creek, WI, graduating from Fall Creek High School and obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Stout.
On August 14, 1965 she married Marvin Cottingham, who sadly passed away in 2014 after almost 50 years of marriage.
Gloria worked for Kenosha Unified School District as a substitute teacher and during election time she worked at the voting polls.
She was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
Gloria was an amazing seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, crocheting, crafting, baking and she loved to go to shows, take cruises around Lake Geneva and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Michelle (Uri) Samson and Dawn (John) Frohna; her grandchildren, Emma Samson, Samual (Grace) Kendall, Addison Procter and Arianna Procter and her step-grandchildren, Andrew and Maria Frohna.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Marvin.

SERVICE LOCATION Lord of Life Lutheran Church
Funeral services honoring Gloria’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5601 Washington Rd, Kenosha, WI 53144.
Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
A visitation for Gloria will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
