Goodbye Gerry; my mom will miss you. She was a member of the ladies club. In an assisted living facility, my mom may or may not remember Gerry; that is the circle of life. But they will meet again.

I will only know this beautiful woman through her amazing son. Tom came into our lives a number of years ago, initially only known to us (affectionally referenced by my oldest sons) as, "Hat Guy". A sweet, gentle soul with an eager wave and genuine smile every time he would see my sons pass him on the way to their work. That wave, and that smile struck a chord in my sons that would never go away! Eventually, my sons's stopped to talk to this friendly individual and over the coarse of a few conversations, found out his real name...Tom. However, when sharing conversations they had with him...the nickname, "HatGuy" stuck. What was so sweet and profound was his caring and compassionate nature. He loves, and he listens... and you can feel that. My son naturally shared some struggles we were going through and Tom instantly said he would pray for us. This stranger was lifting us up in prayer? And I could feel those prayers going up to our Savior! And this was on more than one occasion. Oh, to have someone like this in our lives...such a blessing. Tom has such a wonderful reputation in our community as my son's eventually found out. They were so impressed with how many people knew him. This beautiful, unassuming, quiet, gentle friend. He brings out the best in us. Tom, I write this believing that your mother would have been so blessed knowing how much you mean to our family. We all experience struggles in our lives, but despite any struggles along the way, you found the strength to still pray and listen. Thank you for being such an important part of our lives. Through our friendship, you two have encouraged us in so many ways. We love you BOTH very much and pray that you will find comfort in each other, in the Lord, and in the friendships the Lord has blessed you with. KEEPING YOU IN PRAYER during this difficult time and Thanking the LORD for the sweet reputation of this wonderful woman. To have met your mother would have been such a joy! Stock Family
