Born in Elkhorn City, Kentucky on July 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Raymond and Martha (Wright) Coleman.
Gerry was a 1965 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
On February 10, 1968 in Kenosha he married Barbara A. Ruberg. She preceded him on September 28, 1998. In 2002, Gerald married Janice Pritchard.
Gerry was employed as an electrician for many years with several area contractors and retired from Chrysler Corporation.
He was a member of the IBEW Local # 127 and UAW #72. He was also a member of the Kenosha Bowman Association. He was a consummate outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, horses and anything that kept him in the fresh air. In his younger years he had served as a President of the Bristol Driftbusters Snowmobile Club. A motorcycle enthusiast, he loved the time he spent on his Harley.
He is survived by his children, Patricia “Trish” (Neil) Flannery and Blaine (Anjuli Ludlow) Coleman; his grandchildren, Emilie and Luke, his siblings, Roberta G. (Steve) Bevins, Angela Rose, and Rhonda Funk and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and his first wife, Barbara; Jerry was preceded in death by a son, David in infancy.

Service Date December 1, 2014
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, December 1st, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Private inurnment will take place in St. James Cemetery.
