George was born in Kenosha on November 8, 1925 and was the son of the late Theobald and Anna (Jurus) Oster.
George honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946. He graduated from USC with a degree in Marketing and Advertising.
On August 1, 1970 in NY, he was united in marriage to Margaret Mary Gaskin. After 35 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on January 8, 2005.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Jayne St. James and her sons, Michael, Christopher, and Mathew, all of Long Island, NY; his siblings, James (Carol) Oster of Hazelhurst, WI, Florence (James) Roberts of Minneapolis, MN and Charles (Donna) Oster of Franklin Grove, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Theobald (Millie), Eugene and Henry (Mary Lou) Oster; and by his two sisters, Basilla (William) Metten and Anna (Jerome) Derks.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment with full military honors will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
