Born on December 23, 1930 in Ashland, WI, he was the son of the late Geoffrey M. and Edith (Rowe) Watson.
While in Ashland he met Charlotte Smiles and they were married in 1950. They made Kenosha County their home where they raised their children.
He held a Master’s Degree in Education and inspired many students at Central High School over his 25 year teaching career in the sciences, until his retirement in 1989.
Geoffrey was a true outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing along with being Up North. He had a kind and giving spirit; an active member of the Westosha, Salem- Kiwanis International.
He is survived by his three children, Jean ( Jeffrey) Watry of Bohners Lake, William Watson of Salem and John ( Tess) Watson of Burlington; his grandchildren, Geoff, Josh, Katrina, Jon, Jamie, Sophie, Lily, Zachary and Chelsea and a sister, Joy ( Robert) Donald of Sussex.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey and a sister, Joanne Kramer.
Service Date November 9, 2015
A Time of Sharing will begin on Monday, November 9th, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720-39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Private interment will be held in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
