She was born June 10, 1927 to Adolph and Clara Rickman of St Louis, Missouri.
Frieda married Gustav L Figas on June 23, 1946.
Frieda who preferred to be called Fritzie, worked as a receptionist/secretary but her favorite job was housewife and mother.
Fritzie’s hobbies were crocheting, quilting, and she loved to read. She was very involved with the Lutheran Church and Women’s Circle.
She is survived by her son, Fred (Sue) Figas; her daughters, Barbara (Steve) Lindblom, and Mary Monson; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gus; her brother, Roy Rickman and sister-in-law, Loretta.
Funeral services in honor of Frieda’s life will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Piasecki Althaus Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 8760 37th Ave., Kenosha, WI 53142.
