Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintFrances M. Hybert, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Froedtert South – St Catherine’s Hospital Campus in Kenosha. Family and friends mourn the loss of a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Born on June 16, 1932, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (nee: Clinch) Melcher. Frances graduated from Carroll College (now Carroll University) in Waukesha, WI, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education.
On August 11, 1956, at First Presbyterian Church, Eau Claire, she was united in marriage to Robert Hybert.
She moved to Kenosha in the early 1950’s, and she began her teaching career at Jefferson Elementary School.
Fran was a full-time homemaker. She stayed active in her church and volunteered at the hospital and in the community. She loved music and frequently attended concerts. Fran enjoyed playing piano, marimba, and harp. She enjoyed playing bridge for at least 50 years.
She will be sadly missed by three children, Peter (Faith) Hybert of Wheaton, IL, Ellie Grisham of DePere, WI and Nancy (Steve Kraus) Hybert of Racine, WI; her four grandchildren, Ian and Colin Hybert, Robert Grisham, and Jeremy Peters; her two great-grandchildren, Mackenzey and Hunter Hybert; and her sister, Elizabeth Sloan of De Kalb, IL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and her brother, George A. Melcher.
Service Date May 5, 2018
A Memorial Service in celebration of Fran’s life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 919 60th St., Kenosha.
