Born in Kenosha, on July 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Marion (Wiercinski) Bronoske. She attended Lincoln Junior High School and three years at a vocational school.
On July 6, 1942, she was united in marriage to Darrell B. Loney at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kenosha. They moved to Prairie du Chien then to Zion and finally made Kenosha their home. They were blessed with 4 children and 42 years together; sadly Darrell passed away on May 1, 1985.
Florence worked as a machine operator for American Air Filter located in Zion, IL. After 13 years of service; she retired in 1980.
Florence was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. A current member of St. Anne Catholic Church; former member of St. Mary Catholic Church; she ministered in the Friendly Center and singing in the choir. A giving person, Florence could be found volunteering for Hospice, the Soup Kitchen and with the Girl Scouts. She was colorful, vivacious and a bundle of energy as part of the Gallopin’ Seniorettes, the Kenosha Senior Center Dance Chorus. Florence danced in parades, at the Wisconsin State Fair and on the Reuther High School auditorium stage. She still found time to enjoy crocheting and babysit her adorable grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Pat Aubney) Loney and Patricia Principe; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and fourteen great- great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her sons, Thomas Loney and Roland Loney; grandsons, Keith and Kent Loney; her siblings, Eleanore Bodven, Marilyn Hugley, Leonard Bronoske, Theodore Bronoske and Edmond Bronoske and son in law, Gerald Principe.
Funeral services honoring Florence’s grand life of 99 years will be held privately. She will be laid to rest by her husband in St. George Cemetery.
