Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintEugene W. Ingram, age 59 of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital South Shore Campus, with his loving wife, Sherry by his side.
Born in Kenosha on June 2, 1955 he was the son of the late Alvin W. and Betty L. (Luitze) Ingram.
Gene was a graduate of Zion Benton High School. He was united in marriage to Sherry Pace on July 9, 1983 at Gene’s parents’ home in Russell, IL.
He was a member of the Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150 for over thirty years. He was employed as an underground utility construction foreman.
Gene was a member of Trinity Christian Center in Zion, IL. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and landscaping.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry; his son, Jason L. (Danielle) Ingram; his grandchildren, Gavin and Ava Ingram; and his grand dog, Howie and those he considered his special family; his niece, Stephanie (Brian) King, his father-in-law, Oldridge Pace: his wife’s siblings, Linda (Steve) Poland, Vic (Denise) Pace, Rick (Mary) Pace, and Jerry (Janice) Pace, and the “daughter of his heart”, Bailey Heredia Hassett.
Gene is further survived by his siblings, Vicky (Richard) Byrd and Woodrow (Regina) Ingram.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Iva Pace and a brother-in-law Jerry Pace.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
