Born on April 17, 1923 she was the daughter of the late John and Elsie (Hubka) Glaser. She received her associate degree from a junior college in Chicago, IL.
On April 26, 1946 she was united in marriage to Richard “Duke” Kruse. Duke preceded her in death in 2015.
She was employed as a secretary at Curtis Publishing (Chicago, IL), Grant Elementary School (Kenosha) and she was an owner (with her husband, Duke) of Kruse and Associates.
She was a member of the Elks Club of Kenosha.
Elsie loved to garden, she had a very large garden at her home and she liked sharing the fruits of her labor with friends, family and neighbors. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed traveling and collecting glassware from the locations she traveled to.
She will be missed by her children, Kathryn A. (Kruse) Pipito and John R. Kruse; her grandchildren, Gina K. (Pipito) (Daruis) Miller II, Jacalyn E. (Kruse) (Michael) Denis, Elizabeth Gengembre and Elliot Gengembre; her great grandchildren, Colette Miller, Giovanna Miller, Daruis (Trei) Miller III and Isaiah Gengembre and her daughter-in-law, Karen Kruse (Stengert).
Along with her parents and husband, Duke, Elsie was preceded in death by many friends and family members.
