She was Aunt Bett’s to me! I chose Aunt Bett’s for my Confirmation sponsor and her name Elizabeth as my Saint name. Saint Elizabeth was a cousin to the Virgin Mary and the mother of John the Baptist. Aunt Bett’s was very special to me and is/was my special connection to heaven. She was blessed with kindness and a good heart. She was always there for me when I needed someone to listen to me about my troubles at home. She was pretty much my 2nd Mom when growing up. I have some very special memories of spending weekends in Kenosha with her, Uncle Frank and my cousins, summers with our families in Gordon, Wisconsin, Marcia and I teasing her about her Betty Boop curls! She would just laugh and giggle with us. She was the sweetest, the best friend that an Aunt could be! I thank you … Aunt Bett’s for always being there for and loving me. May you Rest in Peace with your parents, your brothers and your sisters. Say “ Hi” to Momma Orph, give her a kiss for me! Love you always … Maria
