Elizabeth Wunderlich, age 87, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 in Elkhorn, WI.
Born on July 27, 1936 in Rockford, IL to the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Ridlon) Phelan. Elizabeth graduated from The Mound Catholic Girls School and later went on to teach at Rockford College and the College of Lake County. After retiring from teaching in 1996, Elizabeth opened her own packaging and shipping business, Parcel and Business Services.
Elizabeth loved to play spoons with the Brass Ball Bangers, read Steven King books and spending time with family and friends.
She will be missed by her son, William Peterson; her grandson, Taylor Peterson; her great granddaughter Peyton Peterson; her brother, Michael Phelan; her niece Mikelynn and her nephew, Jeffery.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services honoring Elizabeth’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
A visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
