Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintElizabeth E. (Buratti) Ashe, age 96, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at United Hospital Systems-St. Catherine’s Campus.
Born in Kenosha on April 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine (Zocchi) Andreucci. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she attended local schools.
In 1937, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Nello Buratti. That marriage was dissolved in 1955. On June 22, 1960, she was remarried to Bernard Ashe, he preceded her in death in September of 1992.
Elizabeth was employed with AMC for over 25 years as a machine operator and retired as an inspector in the paint department.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the UAW Local #72 retirees and the Ke-Nash-A Club. In her earlier years, she was active in local bowling and golf leagues, playing cards and was an amazing cook.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her daughter, Mary Jo (Gene) Breiling; a son, Nello (Terry) Buratti; a brother, James (Nikki) Andreucci; five grandchildren, Jill (Mike) Miller, Brad Breiling, Kurt Breiling, Andrea (Cesar) Ruffolo and Stephanie (Christopher) Lusiak and seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Travis, Kayla, Jennifer, Alexis, Alec and Ann-Margret. She is further survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Ann Buratti; two sisters, Gena Polentini and Jamma Andreucci and four brothers, Lewis, Armando, Joseph and Arthur Andreucci.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Chua and the staff at St. Catherine’s Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care.
Service Date July 6, 2015
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Private entombment will be held in All Saints Mausoleum.
