Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintEdwin Robert Scheckel, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 2, 1934, to Alvin and Martha (Lewig) Scheckel. He was a graduate of Seneca High School.
On November 10, 1956, he was united in marriage to Margaret Martin. The couple had 6 children, Debra Honore, Barbara Uhlenhake, David Scheckel, Brian Scheckel, Jane Romanowski and Joanne Riemer.
He was employed as a truck driver for several companies until his retirement in 1993.
Edwin enjoyed watching Wisconsin sports teams, loved camping and the first eighteen years of his retirement, they traveled in a fifth wheel camper.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Margaret Scheckel, his children, Debra (Jeffrey) Honore, Barbara (LeRoy) Uhlenhake, David (Pam) Scheckel, Brian (Dennette) Scheckel, Jane (Gary) Romanowski and Joanne (Scheckel) Riemer; his 14 grandchildren, his 22 great grandchildren and his five sisters and two brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Leo “Bob”.

SERVICE LOCATION St. Anne Catholic Church
Memorial services honoring Edwin’s life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd.
Private Inurnment will be held at a later date.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.
