Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintEdward J. Kemen, age 79 of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
He was born on May 15, 1935 in Kenosha the son of the late Michael and Hazel (McGonegle) Kemen.
Ed attended St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School and was a 1953 graduate of Kenosha High School.
From November 8, 1954 until November 7, 1956, Ed honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Specialist 3rd Class.
On October 26, 1957 Ed was united in marriage to Bonnie Andreucci.
Ed was employed as a auto body specialist with Blazavier Body Shop, V.W. Merten Motors and retired from Roosevelt Body Shop.
He was an avid fisherman and built midget and sprint cars. Ed truly enjoyed auto racing and cherished the time he spent with his family.
Survivors include his two sons, Timothy (Gayle) Kemen and Bradley (Kathy) Kemen; his four grandchildren, Brad, Mark (Sarah), Rita and Michael Kemen; and two great granddaughters, Ava and Miriam; his sister, Mary Ellen (Jim) Yorton; his special friend, Katherine “Kitty” Barlow; his sisters-in-law, Cathy and Julie Kemen, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Eugene Kemen; and a sister, Dorothy in infancy.
Service Date March 15, 2015
The visitation will conclude with a service at 5:00 p.m. Full Military Honors will follow. Private inurnment will take place in St. George Cemetery.
