Born in Clifton, WI on October 9, 1920, he was the son of the late Reverend Otto and Paula (Lauber) Koch.
From September 16, 1942 until his honorable discharge on February 11, 1946, Edward served in the U.S. Air Force.
Edward’s faith was an important part of his life and was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He loved the beauty of the great outdoors and liked to fish and camp with his family. Edward was a Sheepshead player and enjoyed golfing. He was very proud to be able to say he shot a hole in one.
He was united in marriage to Jane Henry. They were blessed with two sons and a daughter.
She preceded him in death in 1977.
On November 17, 2007, he was united in marriage to Joy Moldenhauer.
Edward will be remembered by his three children, Joanne (Elmer) Spartz of Alamo, CA, Paul (Lori) Koch of Green Bay and John (Kathy) Koch of Milwaukee; his brother, Reverend Robert (Gerda) Koch of Antioch, CA; his niece, Barbara (John) Rankin; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
He is further survived by his second wife, Joy Koch; her daughter, Anna; and her two grandsons.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Jane Koch, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Koch.
Service Date December 30, 2014
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5927 37th Avenue. Full military honors will follow. Private interment will take place in Eagle River Cemetery, Eagle River, WI.
