Edith was born on August 11, 1921 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany to Otto R. & Lillian Sorghardt. An 8 year old Edith came to America where her family settled in Kenosha. She married her childhood sweetheart, Arthur A Hubbard on June 28, 1941. They enjoyed 60 years together while raising 3 daughters. During their working years they owned and operated Hubbard Body Shop and retired in Crandon, Wisconsin in 1982.
Edith was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family and Jesus Christ were the most important things in her life. She was a kind and gentle soul who enjoyed fishing, hiking, gardening and knitting afghans for her family & friends while listening to Christian radio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband & her brother, Otto. Survived by her daughters Diane (Ron) Quinn, Nancy (Bill) Harper and Lisa (Tom) VanderMeer, by grandchildren Leah (Tim) Patterson, Tim (Maria) Ganoung, Sarah (Jared) Wolfe, Peter (Kristin) Harper, Justin & Devon VanderMeer and by great-grandchildren Brooke, Nick & Drew Patterson and Isabella & Nicole Ganoung.
