Born on March 29, 1930, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Oswald and Clara (Gierszewski) Graf. Due to her mothers’ illness, she lived with and was raised by her Uncle Art and Aunt Martha Walter and was educated in both Kenosha and Waukegan.
Doris was employed with Coopers, Rauhrs Drug Store and beginning in 1959, she was employed with AMC Corp., retiring in 1985. Following her retirement, she was employed with AM Credit Union from 1985 until 1992.
Doris was a member of St. James Catholic Church, she built an extensive collection of movies and music and in her younger years, stayed active with bowling, golfing, swimming, camping and shopping. She loved decorating for the holidays and became a great traveler of the world. Doris was a friend to all she met; helping, loving and sharing with everyone.
She will be deeply missed by her two nieces, Susan Graf and Lisa (Tom Capodarco) Graf; several cousins and countless friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth and a sister-in-law, Sophie Graf.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014, at 11:15 a.m. from the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon at St. Anne Catholic Church, 9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
