My dear Carol Just wanted to share my love with you and all your family and my gratitude for knowing you and Don. With not living in the USA I haven’t had the opportunity to know him well. However, during our time on worship school one of my abiding memories was him drawing people together to play hand and foot, which was really just another way of having an opportunity to bless and encourage people in their walk of faith. One of my regrets is that due to circumstances Richard and I were not ever able to go on the marriage course with you both. However we loved having you over here in the UK a couple of times, and we did manage a marriage weekend with you which was special. As John said in his part of the service, Don’s voice was in his head, and although there has been much less opportunity for me to be with you both, Don’s voice is in mine too. Phrases like “when you are at home together, sit next to each other, so you have contact, don’t sit apart”, still has an impact in my daily life at home, and “it doesn’t matter how old you are getting, you can still be going for it in faith and serving God” every now and then reminds me as I get older, that my life is offered to God, and that age isn’t a reason to think I’m done. Don was a great example of this, as are you. A great example to the family of God. I am confident that our Father will be upholding you and sustaining you as you walk forward into the new shape of your life now. His faithfulness is and will be constant to you and I wanted to assure you of my prayers for you moving forward. I find as I write, I know there is a heart connection between us. When we came over to the USA you were one of the very early people to draw me into friendship. I will always be grateful to God for you both. Be blessed my friend Love Paula
