Born in Chicago, IL on August 31, 1930; she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Josephine (Colbert) Mitchell.
On February 2, 1952 in Chicago, Dolores was united in marriage to Rudolph F. Scuglik. They were blessed with three children and cherished 67 years together until Rudy passed away October 2019.
She was employed as a typist for the Insurance Exchange Company for Civil Service until they started a family.
They made Kenosha their home and were active in the community. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and of the former St. George Catholic Church. She was a charter member and founding treasurer of the Kenosha Jaycettes. Dolores was a loving wife and mother not only supporting her husband; but together nurturing their children with deep faith and setting an example of how a loving family should live. She especially enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling with Rudy and spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Dolores’s memory are her children, Cathy (Spencer) Jury, Thomas Scuglik and John (Darleen) Scuglik; four grandchildren, Erik (Melanie) Hansen, Christina (Dan) Yuska, Kevin (Amy) Hansen, Maureen (Matt) Murawski and great grandchildren, Anna, Molly and Kensi Hansen; Zakary, Alexander and Philip Yuska; Ethan, James and Luke Murawski in addition to many nephews and nieces and their children.
Along with her parents and husband, Rudy; she was preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Dunne, Katherine Mitchell, Margaret Knox, Alice Reisinger and Jack Mitchell.
Service Date December 7, 2020
Funeral Services honoring Dolores will be held privately. Private entombment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial.
