Born in Chicago, IL on April 6, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Arne F. and Edith E. (Reiners) Romnes. She was a graduate from Evanston Township High School in 1956. Diane attended Albion College and was a 1983 graduate from Northwestern University where she received her degree in Human Resources.
She was employed as a Human Resource Manager with Kraft Foods and also Deerbrook Bank.
Throughout her life, Diane has lived in Kenosha, WI, Green Valley, AZ, Glenview, IL and Evanston, IL Over the years, Diane absolutely loved spending time with her loving family and many friends. Diane was an avid dog lover and she especially enjoyed the Gulf of Mexico and the Arizona Mountains. During her final days, she accepted Jesus into her life as her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her three children, Philip (fiancé-Michelle) Smith, Jeff (Jeanette) Smith and Katherine “Kadi” Smith-Joyce; her grandchildren, Joshua, Jacquelyn, and Celeste and Christian, Seth, Jared, Barton, and Paul; her cousins, Nancy (Watkins) Davis and Ron Watkins, and numerous other family members.
Service Date October 26, 2018
A Gathering and Memorial Service in honor of Diane’s life will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Libertyville Covenant Church, 250 S. St Mary’s Road, Libertyville, IL. Private inurnment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Stoughton, WI at a later date.
