Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintDiana L. Schmitz, age 64, of Watertown, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2016, while living with her sister in Waupaca.
Born in Decatur, IL on December 26, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Rosemary (Carter) Wright. Relocating to Kenosha as a young girl, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
Diana was employed as a Phlebotomist and Lab Tech for over 30 years, working for both Kenosha Hospital and Aurora Medical Center.
While living in Kenosha, Diana was an active member of Journey Church. She was endeared to the people and country of India, as a result of her involvement in Missions work. She loved to photograph wild life and was fondly known by her granddaughters as “Grandma Birdie”. Diagnosed in 2010, Diana moved to Watertown in 2011 to be closer to family.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Timothy Clouse; two granddaughters, Rylee and Haylee Clouse; three siblings, Jay Wright, Cindy (Cliff) Cameron, Carolyn (Rod) Annis; her nieces and nephews and dear friends known as “the girls”.
In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Curtis and her beloved sister in law, Donna Wright.
Service Date January 28, 2016
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Interment will be held on Friday, January 29th at 9:00 a.m. in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
