I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked at Villa D Carlo with her. What a great lady. She took care of us young people back then. Please know I will never forget her.

I have known my Aunt Lorie all my life. She and her family were a part of my childhood. My mom was her favorite sister, Alice. Our families would visit each other often, either at their home in Kenosha, or ours wherever we happened to be (my dad was in the Marine Corps, so we moved a lot). I so enjoyed all of our visits. As time went by and all of us kids went out on our own, or got married, or whatever, visiting became less and less. Last summer in July 2024, my husband and I took a road trip across the country. We live in southern California. We purposely intended to visit family which we hadn't seen in a long time and knew that we needed to see some of them before we couldn't anymore. We visited family in Iowa and then went to Wisconsin. I am so glad we went to see Aunt Lorie! We shared memories and laughed and cried. I wish we had stayed longer. I will miss her terribly and hope she is at peace with Uncle Bob, Steven, Mom, and her other siblings. I love you so much and I'm so sad that you are no longer here!

In high school, in the mid 70’s, I worked in the pizza kitchen with Lorie. .I was a “phone answerer “and pizza cutter. I loved working with Lorie. She was a great boss to work alongside. We worked hard and wanted to please her, but we also had a good time while doing so. She sure knew how to keep the pizza delivery boys in line! Later, as an adult, whenever I would come into Villa D’ Carlo, and stick my head in the pizza kitchen window to say hi to Lorie, she would take the time to come over and visit a bit. She remembered so many of the kids who worked with her. My condolences to Lorie’s family. Thanks for sharing her all those years.!
