Delora Jean Reizner, age 71 of Huntley, IL, formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at her daughter’s residence.
Born on September 13, 1947 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Lee Boyd and Silvia (Brisco) Mizer. She attended local schools, graduated from high school and furthered her education with two years of study at Gateway Technical College.
On June 10, 1982, she married the love of her life, Sherwin Reizner. After 29 years together, sadly Sherwin preceded her in death on December 7, 2011.
As an administrative professional, Delora was employed with UniFlame and then AbbVie. Later she took care of children working alongside her daughter with at home daycare in Illinois.
Delora was a strong, independent and hard working woman. She was a devoted wife and mother, who loved her grandchildren. Delora was a beloved “nana”. Her activities allowed her to enjoy the outdoors with gardening and hiking. She loved animals, especially dogs. Delora always made you feel like her house was always a home-a very, very clean one at that.
She is survived by her loving children, Jacob (Marlene) Reizner, Tammy (Dennis) Sulliven, Rachel (Scott) Kasules, Steve (Melissa) Wilcott and Carrie (Didier) Kamla; 15 grandchildren, Eden, Lucia, Samantha, Robyn, Robert, Harmon, Zoe, Benjamin, Avery, Zachery, Ariana, Braelyn, Matthew, Zach and Noah and a great grandchild, Omni.
Service Date February 25, 2019
Funeral services honoring Delora’s life will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
