Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Richard Matoska, age 63, who left us on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Born on October 12, 1960, in Kenosha, WI, he was the beloved son of Marian (Pawlowski) Matoska and the late Casimir Matoska. He attended schools in Kenosha, graduating from Tremper High School and furthered his education at DeVry Institute of Technology and Gateway Technical College.
David was incredibly intelligent, with a sharp mind that was evident in everything he did. He had a special love for the classic cartoon “Secret Squirrel,” which brought him much joy and laughter. This quirky interest was a testament to his unique personality and sense of humor. David’s humor was one of his most endearing qualities. He also adored his dog, Tiffany, who was his loyal companion and brought him immense comfort and happiness. David loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, that brought him peace and joy.
Despite facing many personal challenges, David’s faith in God was unwavering. His journey was not easy, but he relied on God for strength, courage, and understanding.
David is survived by his mother, Marian Matoska, his siblings, Stephen Matoska, Debra (Anthony) Gates, Robert Matoska, Susan (Kevin) Roach, Richard (Laurie) Matoska, Casimir (Helen) Matoska, Angela (Harold) Coots, Walter Matoska, Rhonda Matoska, Jennifer (Travis) Paul; his twenty-six nieces and nephews; and his twenty-one great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Casimir Matoska, and sisters-in-law, Kristan Matoska and Kathleen Matoska.
David’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
Secret Squirrel…out.
A private memorial service will be held, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate David’s life and share their fondest memories.
