Davey truly impacted me. I appreciated how he kept chocolates at his desk letting you know you are always welcome to stop by, have a chocolate and take a little break. Having people that allow you to have those little moments are undoubtedly the salt of the earth. May condolences go out to his family and may they always be blessed.

Our condolences to Davey's family. I remember my brother Stan Ambrose talking about both Davey and Leif many times as he had know them both for many years. It is very difficult to lose a person who was so young and our sympathy is for your family as you mourn the loss of one so loved.

I’m sad to hear of Davey’s passing. I enjoyed the time we spent together sharing our passion for motorcycles during our time at Harley-Davidson, my sincere condolences to Davey’s family and friends.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Even though it has been over thirty-plus years since I have seen Dave, it is still such a shock. I am glad he was able to do what he loved in life and that he had a family he loved and cared for. My prayers go out to his entire family.

Hi All; I am shocked and, deeply saddened. My heart goes out to Dave's family. Strangely, I myself just got back in from Hamburg, Germany for the company I currently work for. I was at a birthday party today for one of my younger brothers when I was told of what was in the local newspaper. I am still reeling in shock & dismay. I have not seen Davey since our H.S. reunion of 1997. I grew up with Davey and, his younger brother Paul. Years later, I ended up working at the same company his older brother Charlie was at. Strange how fate is. I will miss 'ol' Davey. He was involved in quite a lot of things. Though I have not had too much contact with him in the past several years, I was looking forward to seeing him at the next H.S. reunion and, " catch up ". Not too many folks I know had such a deep love for life or Harley Davidson Motorcycles as well. I'm talking, Since he was a kid folks ! This man Lived Harley while he was young. It was only natural that he ended up working there. I'm sure he's riding one right now. Long Live Brother........... Jeff D.

Sandy, Rachel and the rest of the family, i am so sorry to hear about the passing of david. From what i knew of him he was a wonderful man. He always was smiling and having fun. Early in Davey's career at H-D I recruited him to be an "on-camera talent" or "model" if you will, for Harleywood Productions, as we were called back then. We produced many technical training programs for our dealers, at first using still photos and later video. While not in his job description, Davey was always willing to give his time and talent, both on camera and as a very knowledgeable subject matter expert. I very much enjoyed working with Davey. He was cooperative, patient, he knew his stuff and I really liked his sense of humor. He was one of those kind of people that made working at H-D a true joy. Thanks for the memories, Davey. May God give his family strength and comfort as we all remember and honor the life of Davey, model and role model!

This is sad news. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family for peace. Davey was a great guy to be around at work. He always was engaging in conversation, and energetic about work. A great, caring guy. My condolences.

My condolences to the Davey's family. Even though I had only just met Davey here in Mexico, I could tell that he was a unique individual who must have positively touched the lives of many. As a supplier and long time Harley owner and rider, I was looking forward to to building a future relationship. I am sincerely sorry for your loss.

So shocked and saddened to read of Dave's death.. Hard to understand how such a vital, strong young man has been taken from his family and friends. I knew Dave best thru Scouts - he was an enthusiastic, loving and gentle leader to all those boys (and us parents too.). Always led by example - with a patient, cheerful, you-can-do-it attitude, oh & by the way let's have fun while we're doing it! My thoughts and prayers are with Sandy and the kids. I know this will leave a big hole in your lives.

Peace to the family I know this was a shock . My father passed away the same out of nowhere . I was David's polisher and chromer he loved restoring Harley's and I know he loved his kids . He would stop by my house to pick parts up . He had the kid or he was on the way to get him. God is walking with you , even though this is devistating ,,,there is a plan .someday it will al make since. Again my god hold you and your friends lift you up. Rip david

I am sincerely sorry for the loss of David (Davey as I knew him), my thoughts are with his family. Davey was a fountain of knowledge that we all called upon and his sharp whit (as I grew to learn) kept us listening very carefully as he would like to toss in a joke when you least expected it when the conversation got too serious. Davey was very considerate person and often reached out to me just to see how I was doing. I fondly recall seeing Davey at bike night on a Aermacchi HD that with a big grin on his face having a good time. Your friend John White - H-D Canada
