David H. Vagnoni, age 71 of Kenosha, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 14, 2018, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Kenosha on March 17, 1947, he was the son of the late Enrico and Ermelinda (D’Angelo) Vagnoni. He attended local schools and two years at Gateway Technical College.
In September, 1970, David married the true love of his life, Bonnie Breuckman at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons, WI.
For 30 years, David was employed as a Production Control Manager with Ladish Tri-Clover.
David found great happiness playing softball. Over the years, he played for Foxes Den, Tri-Clover and other local softball teams. He also was an ardent Chicago Cubs fan and loved celebrating Christmas with his family. David will always be remembered as a passionate family man. Every weekend David and his family spent time together and lifetime memories were made.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Bonnie; his children, Melissa (Brian) Gilboy of Lake Zurich, IL, Melinda (Dusty) Nichols of Kenosha, Michelle (James) Jester of Mt. Pleasant and Mallory (fiancé – Kyle Freitag) Vagnoni of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Samantha Nichols, Quaid Nichols, Kyle Gilboy and Jack Gilboy; and his two brothers, John and Joseph Vagnoni.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Emil Vagnoni; and a sister, Helen Vagnoni.
Service Date July 18, 2018
A Memorial Service honoring David’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 6:45 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue.
