Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintDavid E. Heyden, age 75 of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Froedtert South – Kenosha Hospital Campus.
Born in Kenosha on August 20, 1943, he was the son of Elmer and Bernice (Pawlowski) Heyden. David was a 1961 graduate of St. Joseph High School.
On September 11, 1965, he was united in marriage to Marianne Hartnell. They were blessed with three wonderful children. Their union was later dissolved.
He honorably served in the Army Reserves.
David was employed with Wisconsin Bell/Ameritech for 32 years until his retirement. After retiring, he was employed part time with Southport Lumber Company.
He loved the great outdoors and enjoyed the beauty and solitude of fishing in Door County. In his younger years, David was also an avid bowler and softball player.
David is survived by his children, Patti (Tom) Slaasted, Jeanie (Dave) Hapanowicz and Dan (Rhonda) Heyden; his longtime friend and brother-in-law, Joe Borden; and his grandchildren, Jason (Sarah Howe) Slaasted, Justin (Julie) Slaasted, Shari (Patrick) Gilchrist, Patty (Steve) Grant, Lesley (Mike) VanLinn, Caden Hapanowicz, Jacob Heyden and Tessa Heyden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Heyden.
Service Date February 18, 2019
Funeral Services honoring David’s life will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue.
