Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintDavid A. Fredrick, age 55 of Somers, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Froedtert Medical Center with his family at his side.
David was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 16, 1959 to Vickery and Elizabeth (Sorley) Fredrick. He attended local schools; graduated from Reuther High School in 1977 and continued his education at Gateway Technical College.
On September 22, 1979, he married Debra Anderson. They were blessed with two children. The marriage was later dissolved.
He started his career as a tool and die apprentice at G. Leblanc Co. He then worked for Feichtner Tool and Die and later owned D&D Quality Trim Dies. For the last 20 years, Dave along with his business partner, Keith Feichtner owned and operated their own machine shop, Feichtner-Fredrick Corp.
Dave was an avid Muskie and Walleye fishermen. In his younger years, he enjoyed bow hunting and competitive target archery and was a member of Kenosha Bowman. David also enjoyed playing cards along with scuba diving in the Grand Cayman Islands and Lake Michigan with his father. He loved spending time in Juneau Co. Wisconsin at his cabin on the land he purchased along with his brother and father in 1982.
Dave was an all-around hard working, good guy and had a big heart.
He will be dearly missed by his fiancé, Tina Ludwin of Somers; his children, Jillian (Randy) Mayer of Kenosha; Kevin (Colleen) Fredrick of San Diego, CA; his parents, Vickery and Elizabeth “Betty” Fredrick of Kenosha; his former wife, Debra Fredrick of Somers; his grandsons, Jacob and Isaac Mayer and Ryan Collins; his siblings, Sheryl (Keith) Angers of Ft. Myers, FL, Scott (Christine) Fredrick of Kenosha and Sandy Taylor of Kokomo, IN, along with many special nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, fishing buddies and his Golden Retriever, Maggie.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and the entire staff at Froedtert on 4 SW, for their care of Dave.
Rest in peace, David, we all love you.
Service Date January 6, 2015
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Private inurnment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
