Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintDanuta Mardyla, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Aurora Health Care surrounded by her grandchildren who gave comfort holding her hand for 3 hours along with her daughter and son-in-law.
Born in Bydgoszcz, Poland on December 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Franciszek and Monika (Slowinska) Buchholz. She graduated from Bydgoszcz High School and earned her Associates Degree as a Midwife.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Danuta was a midwife for 30 years. She enjoyed driving, shopping, traveling and gardening and enjoyed time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Most of all, Danuta would make phone calls to every family member that had a birthday and would say “this is for you” and she would sing Happy Birthday to them.
She leaves behind many joyful memories for all of us. Her love of life, her dreams for her children and her love of family as well as others who loved her. Danuta is survived by her children, Alina (Eric) Mozdzinski, Wojciech (Bozena) Trzebunia; her daughter-in-law, Bernadeta Trzebunia; her grandchildren, Katarzyna Jenner, Bartek Trzebunia, Beata (Marcin) Kurjanski, Amanda (Nathan) Anderson, Beata (Brett) Bjorkquist, Voytek (Jeness) Trzebunia, Jack (Monika) Trzebunia and Michal Trzebunia; her great-grandchildren, Alessandra Jenner, Kami Jenner, Emily Bjorkquist, Natalie Bjorkquist, Bennett Anderson, Taylor Anderson, Millie Trzebunia, Molly Trzebunia, Emilia Trzebunia and Eric Trzebunia and her sister, Urszula Jaworska.
In addition to her parents, Danuta was preceded in death by her son, Piotr Trzebunia; her brother, Zdzislaw Buchholz and her sister, Regina Czerniak.

SERVICE LOCATION St. James Catholic Church
Funeral services honoring Danuta’s life will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 5821 10th Avenue, Kenosha, WI.
Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
A visitation for Danuta will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. concluding with Nurses Honor Guard at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53144.
