To my Dearest Baka, I'll start by apologizing because I know you hate my tattoos, and I know you told me you didn't want me to get a tattoo for you, but alas here we are. As a woman of many words, most of the time, I'm currently at a loss for them. How do I describe your character, your heart, and your soul to everyone when there certainly aren't enough words to use? You have always been in my corner and have loved me unconditionally, despite all of our differences. I'm not a religious person, but that never stopped you, a man of great pioty, from loving me and making sure I knew I was loved. Time and unfortunate circumstances kept us apart for much longer than I would have ever liked, but I'm grateful beyond measure to have been able to spend your final years with you. Your kindness knew no limits and I think that's what defined your character best. You came from such humble and harsh beginnings but you never let that hold you back. You built the life you wanted for yourself and your family, from quite literally the ground up, and would still give anyone the shirt off your back if they needed it. I cherish and hold dear every single moment I spent with you and I'll make sure to never let them go. My heart aches now that your physical presences is gone, but I know you are always with me in my heart and in spirit. I hope I lead my life with as much grace and strength as you did. Please say hi to mom for me and tell her I love her. This world, my world, is not the same without you, but I am indeed a better person because you were my Baka. This tattoo encompasses everything you mean to me and it will be with me forever, much like the imprint you left on my heart. Don't forget to visit me every now and then. With the deepest and hardiest love I can give, Your Zolotenka
