Dan was born in Kenosha, WI to Roger Thornberg and Joan (Wenman) Thornberg. Dan married Jayne Dummer of Kenosha, WI on January 11, 1986.
Dan loved riding his scooter, watching most sports (go Chicago Bears and Cubs!), playing golf and tennis, and riding bikes with his family and friends. His greatest passion in life, however, was spending time with his wife Jayne, at whose bedside he devotedly remained for nearly a year during her battle with terminal breast cancer.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Hanna Thornberg of Edmond, OK; his siblings, Jan (Sally Hensel) Thornberg of Waterford, WI; Doug (Sue) Thornberg of Dublin, OH; Gail Jackson of Madison, WI; and Teri (Robert) Turner of Laveen, AZ; and many other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Thornberg; his parents, Roger Thornberg and Joan Thornberg and his niece, Sara Jackson.
Memorial services honoring Dan’s life will be held privately.
The family asks that you raise a glass of milk (his beverage of choice) in his honor.
