Born in Aurora, IL on September 12, 1961, she was the daughter of Lee and Dorothy (Darling) Oros. Cynthia was a graduate of Wilmot High School and Gateway Technical College.
On February 14, 1999, Cindy was united in marriage to Thomas Fredericksen.
Cindy attended Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church.
Cindy began her career in law enforcement in 1982 after earning her associates degree in police science from Gateway Technical College. She rose through the ranks as a patrol officer, became a detective investigating sensitive crimes for 13 years before becoming a patrol supervisor. In the last two years on the force, she served as administrative sergeant under then-Police Chief John Morrissey, who is currently the city administrator. She retired from the police department in 2014 after 33 years of service.
She was a member of the pipes and drums, was an honor flight escort, known for being behind the lens taking photos at veterans activities, firefighters training to battle a blaze and the community beaches and lakes. Cindy loved bird watching and enjoyed time with children.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Fredericksen; her father, Lee Oros; her step-mother, Beverly Oros; her brother, Rick (Angela) Oros, her sister, Kathy Oros; her step-daughter, Suzanne Vergenz and many loving nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Oros.

Service Date July 16, 2020
A visitation for Cynthia will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI. Private Interment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, only 50 people will be permitted to enter the funeral home at one time. For the safety of our guests, you may be required to wait outside. Social distancing will be maintained and those in attendance are required to wear a face covering. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
