Born on February 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J.E. and Carrie (Matson) Waldow, Sr. Corinne was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI.
On July 2, 1949, she was united in marriage to William S. Pocan. Sadly, he passed away on January 27, 1991.
Corinne was the owner of a small business, Dove Beauty Supplies in Kenosha, WI, until her retirement in 1988.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Corinne enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her children.
She is survived by her sons, the Honorable William (Gerald Waupoose) Pocan and Congressman Mark (Philip Frank) Pocan and several nieces and nephews. William is a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge. Mark is the United States Representative from Wisconsin’s 2nd Congressional District.
In addition to her parents, Corinne was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Pocan; her sister and brother-in-law, Mardell (Lloyd) Wiegert; her brother and sister-in-law, Arthur (Gladys) Waldow, Jr. and sister, Alaina Sorensen.

Per Corinne’s wishes, funeral services honoring her life will be held privately.
