I met Connie when I was a young social worker over 30 years ago and was awed by her confidence in our community's ability to make things happen. From my perspective, if Connie believed in your vision, you were golden. She recognized talent and skill, invited expertise in and asked philanthropists to step up. Then she rolled up her sleeves and dug in. She told me of the thorough knowledge she acquired of the 1970s state licensing requirements for childrens' bathrooms as Kenosha Youth Development Services was opening its first residential facility. She learned the gamut of human service and struggle through her extensive board and agency development work. We owe much of Kenosha's current social service infrastructure to her solid foundation. Connie made you believe your life had great meaning and good purpose. Hers certainly did. Thank you, dear Connie.
