Connie E. Prevec went home peacefully the morning of Saturday, April 7, 2018, with her loving companion and caregiver, Harley at her side.
Born on October 15, 1947 in Rhinelander, WI, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Adeline (Bell) Baken. She was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
Connie made Kenosha her home and she was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed making candy, baking, cooking and making crafts. Connie was a nature lover and she loved taking care of “her” animals. She had a green thumb.
She is survived by her four children, Theresa (Scott) Comer of OH, James W. Prevec, II of WI, Tamara Hoover of NV and Tara Prevec of TN; her brother, Terry (Janice) Baken of AK; her two sisters, Toni Slater of WI and Mary Lou (Tom) Rapacz of CA; and eleven grandchildren.
Connie is further survived by her life companion and caregiver, Harley Hansen; and his two sons, Robert (Sandi) Hansen and Richard (Kimberly) Hansen, both of Kenosha.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell S. Baken in 1991; and four sisters, Leilani “Sissy” Eckert in 2004, Leith “Snooky” Everts in 1980 and Jacqueline and Joanne Baken, both in infancy.
Service Date April 12, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Connie’s life will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue.
