Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintClyde P. Roethe, age 95 of Kenosha, died peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services.
Born in Milwaukee on August 30, 1921, he was the son of the late Lester and Dolores (Lautenbach) Roethe.
From September 8, 1942 until his honorable discharge on November 5, 1945, he honorably served in the U.S. Army in the Company A 638th Tank Destroyer Battalion.
On September 26, 1946 in Milwaukee, he was united in marriage to Gloria Crowley.
From 1953 until his retirement in 1983, Clyde was employed as a laborer with Miller Brewing Company.
To be closer to his family, Clyde and Gloria moved to our area in 2009.
He was a member of the Brewery Workers Local #9 and the Masons. Clyde was an avid photographer and Packer fan. He loved to travel extensively and enjoyed his travels to Mexico.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Gloria Roethe; his two sons, Michael (Maria) and Steven (Colleen) Roethe; his two grandchildren, Daniel (Erin) and Kelly Roethe; and his two great grandchildren, Max and Margaret Roethe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Roethe, Jr.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ikram Rashid and his staff for the exceptional care they provided.
Service Date July 12, 2017
A Committal Service with Full Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI.
