Born in Kenosha on October 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Sophie (Minotas) Norman. She graduated from Bradford High School and then went to North Central Texas College in Denton.
She received her degree and then obtained her Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License. After graduation, she worked with multiple organizations in Central Texas including Central County Services (MHMR), skilled nursing facilities and then joined Belton ISD. Clarice provided Occupational Therapy services to students in Belton ISD for 10 years. Throughout her career, she made a great difference for every individual with whom she worked. She was always willing to help and give of herself.
Clarice loved being a member of the VFW #1820 pool/billiards league and shooting pools with her friends. She cherished her friends from her neighborhood, who all played an important and supportive role in her life. She loved the Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre, but not as much as she loved her dog, Rocky. Clarice was an amateur photographer who loved music and attended the CAC Texas Music series every year. She especially enjoyed music by Neil Young, Bob Seger, Darius Rucker and the Zack Brown Band. Clairice loved shopping at Marta’s Room Antiques, garage sales and farmers markets. She enjoyed collecting rocks, gardening, volunteering at the Bloom Fest, and with the Care Bears in support of her BISD special education family.
Clarice Norman made a big difference and touched many lives. She continues to help people, even in her passing, as an organ donor. Clarice made people laugh, and brought many smiles to everyone with whom she shared her life. Clarice was a wonderful person and a loyal friend to many people.
She will be greatly missed by her sister, Carol (Tom) Bonofiglio; niece and nephews, Lisa (Gregg) Summers, Tom Bonofiglio, Jr., Anthony (Jodi) Bonofiglio, Armand (Gina) Bonofiglio and Brian (Rachel) Bonofiglio; along with several loving grand nieces and nephews; and cousins, Patricia Hoffman and Ronald Lee.
