Born in Burlington, WI on May 12, 1941, he was one of thirteen children born to the late John and Magdaline (Schlitz) Meyers.
On May 12, 1962, he married the love of his life and best friend, Judy Ruhle. Their union was blessed with four incredible children and 56 years of marriage.
Clarence was employed with AMC/Chrysler Corporation until his retirement in 1991. He dedicated 18 years as a volunteer Firefighter with the Pleasant Prairie Fire Department. Until 2003, Clarence was also a water meter reader with the Pleasant Prairie Public Works Department.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Clarence was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed taking yearly fishing trips with his kids and grandkids and deer hunting with family. Many memories were made, and funny stories told about the times spent at the cabin up-north. Clarence and his wife, Judy took frequent road trips and they liked to try their luck in Las Vegas during their yearly trip. Clarence loved life and family. He had a heart of gold and contagious smile that will be remembered by anyone who had the pleasure to meet and know him.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his children, Scott (Sally) Meyers, Diane (Steve) Pierce, Kevin (Judy) Meyers and Dennis (Kris) Meyers, and his grandchildren, Caitlin (Jeremy) Erickson, Alexander Pierce, Jordan Meyers, MacKenzie Meyers, Zachary Meyers and Maranda Meyers.
He is further survived by his siblings, Lucy Ambrose, Jack Meyers, Dorthea (Gene) Ehlen, Geraldine Ehlen, Mary (Harold) Schoenberg, Ray Meyers, Kathy (Bob) Howe, Joan Nield, Donnie Meyers, Jeanie (Chuck) Leffelman and Kenny (Kathy) Meyers; his in-laws, Ronnie (Kathy) Ruhle, Howard (Pat) Ruhle, Patti Ruhle, MaryAnn McKinney, Darlene (Ronnie) Free and Cindy Ruhle; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son at birth, Dean Raymond Meyers; his brother, Bob Meyers; his father and mother-in-law, Adolph and June Ruhle; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Ruhle, Gilbert Ambrose, Bob Ehlen, Tom Nield; and his sisters-in-law, Margie Meyers, Nancy Meyers and Dorothy Meyers.
Service Date November 24, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Clarence’s life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. St. Mary Catholic Church, 7400 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
