Born in Oak Park, IL on September 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Clarence and Florence (Sizer) Glos. He attended local schools and graduated from Proviso High School.
Clarence proudly served in the United States Army as a Private First Class, earning the Bronze Star for heroism in the Korean War. He was also awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for excellent performance of duty in combat.
On February 14, 1999, Clarence was united in marriage to Jeanette Brichacek at the First Presbyterian Church in Downers Grove, IL.
Clarence was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Aluminum, Brick and Glass Workers Unions, Local #155.
He was employed for over 46 years, with the Reynolds Metal Company in McCook, IL. Clarence enjoyed bowling, dancing, listening to music, playing cards for a quarter and watching old movies on television. He was a devotee of Elvis Presley and Rolls Royce automobiles. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and he loved spending time with family.
He will be missed greatly by his wife, Jeanette; stepsons, George (Annette) Brichacek of Carol Stream, IL., Glenn (Julie) Brichacek of Magnolia, DE., and Ron (Rose) Peer, of Chicago Ridge, IL., stepdaughters, Gaylen Brichacek, of Highland, IL and Ginger (Rick) Locke of Kenosha, WI.; 14 stepgrandchildren; 28 great-stepgrandchildren and 7 great-great-stepgrandchildren.
Along with his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his sister, June and Uncle Harry.
