Clara’s great grandparents traveled from Germany in the late 1840’s and purchased farmland in Paris, Wisconsin. Clara, born January 24, 1913, on the Schlitz family farm in Paris, was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Fonk) Schlitz. She attended school in Paris and moved to Kenosha in her early 20s.
On September 3, 1938, she married Frank Asta. After over 51 years together, he preceded her in death on June 30, 1990.
Clara was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
Surviving are her son, Paul; daughters, Frances Mouzes and Janice Rosinski; son-in-law, Dennis Bezotte; brothers, Albert (Helen) and Joseph Schlitz; and sister-in-law, Virginia Ruffalo. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Lindy Hess, Shari Hess, Steve (Amy) Hess, Kathy Asta, Terri Edgerton, Mary Asta, Thomas Mouzes, Jason Mouzes, Christina Mouzes, and Lauren Rosinski. She is further survived by five great grandchildren, Tara, Joseph, Kayla, Nicole, and Adam; as well as, six great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Clara was preceded in death by an infant son, Frank Jr.; daughters, Ann Bezotte and Carolyn Hess; daughter-in-law, Colleen Asta; son-in-law, Robert Rosinski, and a grandson, Dennis Bezotte Jr. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Norbert Schlitz and sisters, Rosalia Seitz, Magdalene Meyers, Dorothy Weber, Elizabeth (Betty) Schlitz, Alvina Fettes, Adelaide Jozapaitis, and infant sister, Lucille Schlitz.

Service Date September 12, 2014
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919-54th Street. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery.
