Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintChristine Patricia Minalga, age 70, passed away at her residence on Thursday, January 20, 2022 surrounded by her family. She passed due to complications from a stroke.
Born in Aurora, IL March 9, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William Boyles and Helen (Wiewiora-Boyles) Rishel.
On June 10, 1978 in Las Vegas, NV, she was united in marriage to John Barry Minalga.
Christine was employed as a Secretary for Stevens Adamson in Aurora, IL and for the Kane County School District. She was a Legal Secretary for Thompson and Coates Law Office, and she worked in administration for Family Social and Psychological Services in Kenosha. She later worked as a Bookkeeper for Midlane Country Club in Wadsworth, IL until her retirement.
She was a member of the Bible Study Fellowship and the Kenosha Women’s Club and she volunteered as a mentor for vulnerable children. Christine enjoyed baking, cooking and making new recipes for her family—including many varieties of wild game hunted by her husband. She loved gardening, reading, and sewing.
Christine will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 43 years, John Minalga; her children, Adam and Brian Minalga; her daughter-in-law, Cortney Minalga; her grandchildren, Micah, Nasir and Theodore; her siblings; Garnet Heinen and Patrick Boyles; and numerous extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her stepfather, Elmer Rishel and her half-brother Jim Gion.
Memorial services honoring Christine’s life will be held privately.
